It's going to be all Hot Chocolate roof, mirrors, black pillars. White bonnet stripes, driving lamps, Xenon headlights, cold weather pkg, ipod adapter, front fog lamps, standard leatherette seats, anthricite headliner, english oak trim, wood trim steering mf wheel, hi-fi sound, roof rack, Chrome line interior and thats about it.

I'm in love again!!!!!

The waiting begins........at least I can keep driving my 06 Purple Haze for a few more weeks!

Dave

Unless you have prior experience with the Xenon headlights, I wouldn't get them. We have them on an 03 Cooper and 5 out of 10 cars flash high beams at us. It doesn't seem like the MINI thing to do is nearly blind others.

Dave, I guess that's why they let us take the Clubman out for a test drive in March!

Charva,
Nice....  hot choc. was my favorite color.  I was disapointed i couldn't get my MCS hardtop in that color.  Happy waiting.  i just found out my MINI was built and on its way to get shipped to the US.  I'm getting really excited now...

CaliBean, not to hijack this thread, but WOW! Good for you. Did you really wait as long as I did already? Seems like just yesterday that you ordered! Well, glad to hear you'll soon be grinning along with the rest of us! Keep us posted...

CaliBean, when did you order your MINI?

I was told it would be approx 6 weeks from ordering to delivery.

Also, is this your 1st MINI? I bought my previous 2 Coopers off the lot @ Towne but there is no such thing now. They don't have any new cars sitting around anymore.

I ordered it around Aug. 25.  It seems that September went by pretty quick but now that I know that it is builts and waiting for it's trip across the Atlantic... The days creep by.  I hope there isn't a huge storm and my MINI doesn't end up on the ocean floor.  Charva, Did they give you a production week?  I found out that you can change your order up to about a week before it goes into production.  About a week and a half ago I changed my interior to pacific blue leather cloth seats, blue color line and piano black trim.  I was aliitle afraid since it was so close to production but now I see every thing went smooth.  I also noticed that tracking in the owners lounge is always about 3-4 days behind.  Your best bet is to call Towne for up todate stats....
Later...

I just checked tracking again today and yesterday was "on order" and today I'm "scheduled for production"

Sweet!!!

I'm not planning on making any last minuite changes but it's good to know about.

To pass the days, I'll sometimes go to Towne MINI just to sit in a Clubby and discover new things compared to my 06,

They really don't mind... smile

Well, this might be a good place to introduce you all to 'Coopie the Clock'. John Dacrema has been posting pictures on the Roadfly Mini Cooper board for the last 5 years, asking people 'How many hours and minutes until your Mini gets here?' I got to meet up with Coopie again last Saturday, and he is now traveling with the ducks.

I had Xenons on my 03 and the projected illumination seemed a bit higher and what seemed whiter, than the xenons on my 06 which has a projection which is 'cut off' on top ....i think this is to meet European road homologation standards presented after 04....but personally I haven't got many people flickering at me with either of my Xenons......if you've noticed that people have recently been flickering at you, see if your light leveling sensor is still good. The sensor is connected to your suspension and automatically levels the lamps so they don't shine up at people. A MINI dealer would be the best person to have it looked at by, I doubt a standard mechanic would know what to look for.

I'm inclined to agree with you CaliBean! Maybe she'll feel differently once she rides in it (or even drives it biggrin)!

Oh no--another character and board to keep track of. You've got to slow down for me Cathleen. I'm already spending waaayyyyyy too much time on the various boards as it is!

I am very happy to say the YES!!!! I got my MINI.  I love it.  On the way to Towne, it was raining, it was cold and the wind was blowing me all over the Thruway...  THEN... when I finally got to sit in my MINI....The sun was shinning, it was 80 degrees and I couldn't have had a better daybiggrin  Then when I got home reality set in...This weather sucks, I can't take any good pictures to show you guys.

Charva, with all due respects & humblest apologies--don't mean to steal your thread, but ALL RIGHT, WAY TO GO CALIBEAN! Come on now, it's only 36 degrees out and rainy and cold and dark. I'm sure you can get a nice picture of your new MINI. 'Course we did see VB's the other day; he said yours was identical. Yours probably isn't quite as mean as his though, is it?

And now, back to Charva's thread...

I do not have xenons and on my '05 people are constantly flicking lights at me. Usually they are pickup truck drivers. I think they assume I am a normal size car and it looks like the middle high beam lights are on. Also since it is such a big reflector I think they again assume. A quick flick back and I am sure they know that is just how my lights are. I don't see how they could be blinding I have on several occasions gotten out and stood/squatted at car high in front of my car and I think they are not blinding at all.
