Review -MINI Cooper S goes againt the Dodge Viper and more

Holy crud! Have you read this yet. Motor Trend October 2008 issue just came out. The MINI Cooper S goes against a Chevy Cobalt SS, Mitubishi EVO MR and Mazda RX-8 all under $40,000. But wait you will not believe or understand this. These four un-matched cars also go head to head with the Dodge Viper ACR -$100,000, Audi R8 - $120,000, BMW M3 - $63,000, Ford Shelby GT500 KR - $79,000, Nissan GT-R - $70,000 and Porsche 911 Turbo - $134,000. At least the MINI finished right behind the Dodge Viper! You read that right. They judged the cars on "G" forces, skid, acceleration, understear, etc.. on road and track.
Get your degree out. It will take some understanding yet I still do not get it.

Sorry no. Just a simple $23,350 Mini Cooper S. It finished 8th. Viper 7th. Here is the ranking from last to first.
10 - Ford Shelby GT500KR
9 - Chevy Cobalt SS
8 - MINI Cooper S
7 - Dodge Viper ACR
6 - Mitsubishi Evo MR
5 - Nissan GT-R
4 - Porsche 911 Turbo
3 - Mazda RX-8
2 - BMW M3
1 - Audi R8
Strange. This is a group that reviews cars all day long. It is thier job. And yet in the review for the MINI one thing it seems that was not liked "...the steering is comparable in both cars..." (meaning the Cobalt) "...Dosen't feel like it's power assisted". Umm a note for those guys - IT"S NOT AT HIGH SPEEDS! My goodness. It even says in the manual that it is electric and works most at low speeds and backs off the faster the car goes. Result - better control.
Hey at least we can still say it racked just behind the Viper!
