I have the mounting brackets from VIP and Hella 500's on my car:

PIAA's HID lights (MINI's aftermarket type) are by far going to be the most costly. Hella is very similar yet you still are looking at about 350.00-500.00 for HID (or less for the standard 55W) with the lights, wire harness, switch and relay pack. The Hella's will look like the PIAA's on the car however if you are looking for the brightness make sure you look into the HID type lights no matter which brand you get. They are among the brightest and have one of the lowest power demands. Then there is the issue of chrome or black plastic housing. We have the PIAA's with black housing. What we like about that is they tend to blend in better and we do not have to worry about and pitting, dents or rust down the road. Others like the chrome, shinny, clean, stand out. Lastly look into the covers. The lights should have a high impact plastic lens but it sure is nice when you need them to not have stone marks and bugs on them. To keep the cost down with the standard 55W lights (which are great) the VIP site as mentioned before is a nice place to go to.
