I have recently ordered my sparkling silver clubman and can expect it to hit Towne by mid May. My salesman, Paul Will (V. Good Guy) gave me the card to check out the "Club". I just wanted to sign in and get the lay of the land.
I am naturally excited to get my MINI as I presume most of you can understand. If anyone can help me with any formalities, dues or protocol of the club, I would welcome any assistance. I am looking forward to some of the events and or activities the club may offer.
I am also seeking any info about the MTTS in Chicago, I found the dates, but nothing else yet. Are any particulars released yet?
Thanks again!

not many particulars except I think registration is open and $20 a person. We booked our hotel already for 52 a night with AAA membership..Though it is 20 miles away. Its 58 for non AAA and a nice looking hotel. Info for hotel if anyone is interested.

Last summer we went to the drive in and had a couple of other meets, including a Watkins Glen run in August. We're excited to meet you and your Clubman! Where do you live?

Thanks for the info. That was actually what I was looking for. It seems I was not able to find any of that thru the MINI site.
I live in the beautiful booming megalopolis of Cheektowaga. OK, so I might have gotten a bit carried away! It seems that I am seeing an obvious presence of the Buffalo group and a Rochester group. When do these groups mix in their activities, or are there more separate functions? That said, are there some "things" coming up in May and June?

Pretty much every event is a mix. We have noticed there are more yellow cars out in the winter, with Rochester & Buffalo represented. There's some Syracuse & Southern Tier folks out there too.
Speaking of yellow MINI's, my sister is a school teacher, and she sent me a message one day that she had picked up a gift for me at the school book fair. I told her that I wasn't sure that was a string of words that interested me, but I'll always accept presents. She came to my house over the weekend, and she brought a big poster of a yellow MINI! It made me think of you, Cathleen.
Oh, and on another note, the Rite Aid that is in Perinton Square Plaza has a rack of die-cast MINI's next to the pharmacy counter for $3.99. There was a silver convertible and a lot of yellow MINIs (amongst other colors). They're the kind of cars that you pull back, and they propel forward. We've been racing them at home (and chasing the cats with them). They're pretty cool; the doors open and close; would be a good stocking stuffer.

Some of the cars had stripes. I don't recall exactly the color combos (I purchased a silver conertible and a black hard top b/c they didn't have a black convertible).
You could use a sharpie to put some stripes on it too (you probably have one or two laying around the house).
