and here are some of my own pics

Yeah I'm waiting for info on MTTS too...I've subscribed to a thread on NAM for MTTS info...but if your info on the owners lounge is up to date you should be getting a mail about it through there

(Moved thread to keep the national ones together)

I went to the Dragon in 2004. I think it's gotten a little larger as an event than I want to go to, but it is quite a spectacle. Everyone who has a Mini should drive the Dragon at some point- it is an awesome road for a Mini!

Honey this is in the Dragon's thread... I don't think he'll be happy about it. Watch out for fire breath!

I think they have a brew swap at the Dragon. And I bet Zweigle's would be popular- there's more grilling at the Dragon than Minis On Top.

Cool! In 2004 I stayed at the Microtel in Robbinsville. Robbinsville is a nice little town, and not too far from the action.

What was that about grilling Zweigles on top of the Mountain?
I like mine with chili.

But they are not hot dogs, they're "hots."  I learned this upon moving to Penfield (Rochester area) from NY Metro area.  Definately NOT the same thing.

Anyway, should we have a weenie roast?  It would most certainly be fun if like for lunch on Saturday we did that at the stop...  Although it might be time consuming...  How about Friday night?

I'll bring some Zweigles. How many do you think I need? Will we be able to cook them there?

Can someone bring a little hibachi or something?  We're always filled to the gills with stuff for the toddler.

Are we talking about MINI's on Top in NH? If so, I have a mini Weber grill, that will fit very well in the MINI, and would be glad to bring along.

MOT = MINIs on Top (New Hampshire)

Here's a link to the Flickr MOTD 2008 pool.

For anyone who didn't go and hasn't been following along on NAM, some highlights included:

-MINI rolling, driver walking away unharmed and driving his mini back to Fontana. (The wreckage was truly amazing to see in person)

-Fire at Fontana - a tree fell on some power lines behind some of the cabins and took out power for the entire resort for a few hours on Thursday afternoon. Again, nobody hurt and no major damage was done.

-Mark and I getting trapped in (MINI) driving hell - we followed the GPS onto an unpaved mountain road and got trapped there for 10 miles. It was a very stressful hour!

Overall, we had a good time. It was awe inspiring to see all of the individuality and creativity people have put into their MINI's and the Dragon is a road every MINI owner needs to drive at least once in their life. The area is just gorgeous, the kind of place you'd want to have a house if you had the time and the means to do so . We ran into 2 other people from Rochester there but would love to have more people from the area go with us again in the future.

Looking forward to MTTS and MOT more than ever!
