I checked out the thread that you posted....looks a little schoolbusish to me (is that a word?). I saw one on e-bay too, and I thought that they had it painted to match the color of a school bus because the person who was selling it worked for the bus garage.

Obviously, I prefer Liquid Yellow

but I think the Mellow Yellow/white roof combination looks good. I picked yellow because it is one of the safest colors in the National Highway & Traffic Safety ratings. This might be why the school buses pick it too. :)

I wouldn't say that it really is a school bus yellow, nor a taxi yellow...its a rich yellow (???)

What the MINI's yellow color looks like "depends on the eye of the beholder". And, of course, the color of the school buses (some more yellow, some leaning towards orange).

The earlier MC/MCS coupe's Liquid Yellow looks lighter than 'school bus yellow' "in person". The color in the previous model's catalog looked close, even looking closer with a Black roof.

Check out the 'Rally Pics - 2006' in the 'Picture Post' section for a look at both a Liquid Yellow MINI with Black roof and one with White.

The new MC/MCS' Mellow Yellow reminds us of a butterscotch sundae with vanilla ice cream. With a Black roof it may look darker than school bus yellow and lighter with a White one.

I thought I saw someone had posted pictures of their new yellow MINI (do not recall if it was Liquid or Mellow Yellow) with Black roof in a school bus parking lot. It looked like a perfect match.

Hello,
I have a Mellow Yellow Mini Cooper S but it does not have the white top.
I have a Yellow top. (Full body colour) With factory Chrome mirrors.

I can try and send a picture but I think you need to see the colour in person.

School bus's are more orange then yellow.

I got to see both yellows (06 & 07) in person. The liquid yellow in my opinion is lighter or more washed out then Mellow Yellow.

I bought my mini at Towne Mini from Greg K. Ask him.

I don't know where you live but I live near the Chenung County Airport of Rt 17 I 86 if you are ever down this way????
