Not sure of the details yet, but I am hoping it might be a nice day for a drive along the lake and a stop at Abbotts or one of the places at Sea Breeeze. Start time will most likely be early afternoon (~1 pm). Who wants to go?
My sister is actually coming up that weekend, I'll try getting her to come.... On a seperate note, I was actually thinking of trying a cheese run....i know of a cheese place at the bottom of cayuga....but that's about it... actually i think i'll start a post on this...see if we can gather enough places to make a cheese run possible

Let's meet at Abbott's on Empire Blvd again, at 1:30 pm. (2195 Empire Blvd., Webster NY 14580) Then, maybe a drive along the lake if anyone is interested.
I will head on out at 1:30 & see if it clears up, but it sure makes it harder to be enthusiastic about ice cream and twisty roads! As much as we need the rain, I have a funny feeling it's just going to blow over.
I don't mind the rain per se, and I know we really need it. I was supposed to cut the grass this morning, but of course I chose to wash Kassy first <sheepish grin>.
How long of a drive are we figuring after ice cream? My brother wants to go see Transformers at 3:45.

I was going to head down Lake Rd in Webster to Webster Park. If it's still raining it probably won't be worth getting out for a walk in the park. (Especially if thundering) In fact if it keeps raining like it is right now I'm not sure driving on twisty roads would be a smart thing to do, but we can see what happens.
It's okay. If it makes you feel any better, my brother and wife both called me on the way there, so I only got to hang out for about 20-30 minutes and then had to go.
And as usual, my movie experience royally stunk. Not a commentary on the film itself, but the whole package.

Channel 7 Subgroup 21 is the frequency (unless your from the Cape or are at MOT in which case they use Channel 7 subgroup 0) and I have a Moterola and a Sony, I kinda like the Moterola, except for the fact that its kinda ghetto now after a friend of mine lost the cover and now the batteries are beinng held in by masking tape

I usually use channel 7 subchannel 21, which is pretty common among Mini clubs. (The New England folks use 7, subchannel 0) I have Motorola T5920s which are FRS/GMRS, and technically the GMRS radios require an FCC license but the FRS only radios don't. There's a lot of good radios out there- I have heard good things about Midlands and Cobras too. They do add a lot to driving in a group, for directions and more general nonsense.
