Dreaded Timing Chain Tensioner Breakdown

Hi, I'm a new member. I have a 2008 Cooper S with 78,000 miles that I LOVE!! I have just had the horrible timing chain tensioner breakdown and through my research I realize I missed the class action suit...I am screwed! This seemed to happen when the engine was shut off...It did not happen while it was running or going down the road. Any suggestions as to repair shops or do I need to go to the dealer? Has this happened to anyone here? What did it cost to fix? I would really appreciate any information you may have! Thank you so much for your help...Ken O'Connell

I think they might still have to fix it for you. Call mini rochester, they are awesome and will tell you all about it.
