Another Mini in Rochester

Hey all. I just moved to western NY last year and just now found this site. I won't go into a long list of things done to the car, but most recently I had the antenna shaved from the roof.

And pics:

I'm not usually a fan of wheels like that but they look really good on your car. Perfect stance too. Where did you get the antenna shaved?

Ok mostly just a lot of small things. Had the car for just over 4 years but I have been a student most of that time so the budget is tight. Moved to Rochester for Grad school.

Joey Mod Headlights with orange reflectors removed
M7 Ram-S scoop
MC Side scuttles
Custom shifter
Custom shift cover
Custom Rear strut bar/rear seat delete
BC Coilovers
TX Speedwerks stud conversion
Adjustable Endlinks FR
Adjustable Rear Control arms
Color matched Mirror Covers
JCW Grill Trim
Custom Intake (not anything special)
Riss Racing DP
Way Motor Works DV
Noise maker/IC muffler deletes
Torque Arm Insert
Rotiform NUEs 17x8
Shaved antenna obviously (was done at Saxby's Collision, had a tree fall of the roof over the summer so I took the opportunity)
Blacked out fender reflectors

There are some other things that have been on the car in the past that may or may not go back on
Custom Roof Rack
OEM driving lights with custom mounts

Lost the little cover for the front tow hook like two years ago, so I just decided to embrace it.

As for the future, duno.

Realistic things that might happen sometime soon:

Might color match the scoop over the winter
Really should make or buy a skid plate
Color matched Headlight/taillight trims
Definitely needs a tune (when bank account allows and the right used deal surfaces)

Bucket list:

Rear sway bar (for some reason I always spend the money somplace else)
FMIC
Would like to shave the side scuttles completely some day
JCW front bumper would be nice (not really that interested in the rest of the kit)
JCW Exhaust (if anyone with a JCW is looking to upgrade let me know)
And way too many other things

I saw your car at RIT yesterday. Looks great and I'm definitely going to have to take a closer look at all of your mods since I've only driven by it and didn't look closely. Welcome to the club!

Thanks for the kind words

Oh and the slotted rotors (spc racing I think) and ebc redstuff pads are new as of the summer.

Doesn't having the DP without a tune throw all kinds of CELs?

I've thought about shaving the antenna and side scuttles too but I can't imagine how much it would cost.

I'm probably getting a full turbo-back in the spring, I might sell my JCW exhaust if I can't find somewhere to put it.

You were the one with the upside down OEM driving lights right?? Those looked sweet, why did you take them off?

Tire size? I thought the wheels were 18's since the tires look so small.

I just bought some chrome dipped turn signal bulbs on ebay for $9 shipped that don't give you that orangey haze. Let me know if you want the link.

I like the car even more now that I know everything you've done to it haha. Lookin good, keep it up!

The DP just throws one CEL. Its just an error that notifys you that your catalytic system is operating below spec. I just clear it periodicaly with an obdii app i have on my phone.

Would probably cost $600 - 1000 each the antenna and the scuttles. got mine done for free since the whole roof was messed anyway.

Yea that was me. They were total rock magnets down there and were getting beat up. took them off for refurb.

Nope 17s. 205/40 tires. Probably coulda gone bigger but Im happy with the look, and they dont rub at all, which is a huge improvement from my last setup.

Yea the chrome bulbs never tickled my fancy. From most angles you barely see the orange bulbs anyways, but thanks.

Deffintely let me know about the exhaust. I always walk away from buying them used online because the shipping ends up making the price just not right, so being able to get one local would be great.
